Oh yes. Nothing like waking up to the new year with a dead blackbird on your lawn. Talk about depressing. Possibilities: freak hail storm (one question, does this hail have a grudge? You'd think it would hit all birds, not just one species). Scared to death by fireworks (hmm... maybe... sounds more likely than a vengeful hail storm).
Poor people in Beebe, who now have to deal with dead blackbirds. And poor, poor blackbirds. Sigh. I bet its the humans fault, because spontaneous multiple blackbird deaths are, you know, not exactly natural.
That's depressing.

P.S. They fly in flocks? I always assumed they were solitary, because you never see more than one at a time around here. Wow. I feel so uneducated on the flocking patterns of blackbirds.
