I've just finished reading Tempestuous, by Lesley Livingston (I bought it this morning). It was awesome. I've been waiting ages. Now that I've got it, and have read it, I shall return to obsessing over the next Maximum Ride book (Angel). I read the first 8 pages. May I say that I hate Dylan's guts, and was thrilled to find this. I vote taser.
Anyway. I left a comment (I vote taser). However, it is kind of irritating to have to read all these sappy fan girl comments for Fang all the time. I thought that over, and realized something. Which I will now call the all-encompassing-theory-of-something-or-other.
No book heroine may have a boyfriend without having at least fifty fan girls being all starry eyed over him.
Just an observation. I mean, really people, would you really want to have to deal with someone like Fang? I know I wouldn't. I for one, would go nuts from having to deal with someone like that (as in, supports me sometimes, then mocks me, then ignores me, then mocks me again, then, well I don't know what else) for prolonged periods of time (in fact, one of my friends would love to use that as a form of strange and unusual torture for me-you know, just in case she ever feels the need to lock me in a cell with a fictional character). And don't get me started on Artemis Fowl. I don't think I could deal with a genius who enjoys insulting, not only the person, but their ideas, intelligence, and the ground they walk on. All I can say is, as much as I love reading about characters like that, I could never actually deal with them. I shall remain a fan without becoming a fan girl, thank you very much.
I apologize if I offend legions of fan-girls world wide.
Looking back: A while later: Okay... looking back this seems kinda harsh. Sorry. I was just tired of wading through a bunch of fan-girly comments. All I'm saying is; if you're going to be a fan-girl, please have some sort of rational reason. And no, "He's Cute" (and I'm pretty sure I read this comment somewhere... I kid you not) does not count as rational.
